So ... is this true protest by the dissatisfied progressives or an attempt to stir the mud by the knuckledraggers?

It's very hard to tell the difference, and it really doesn't matter which.

Benghazi or Birth certificates like knuckledraggers, and I don't think the comparison is apt.

Personally, I see things I do like, somewhat, wish he did more, but the latest compromise I can live with.

If I were a hard core rightwinger and wanted to splinter the Democrats, I would plant the seed among the Dems that Obama is not liberal enough. I would focus on every minute detail of this policies that deviate from the hard line progressive ideals: social programs, race issues, women's issues, environment, corporations, etc. (This is in contrast to the propaganda that I'd send directly to the right -- socialist, Kenyan, extremist, divisive, class warfare, and other crap designed to appeal to morons).

I recognize that some on the left are genuinely pissed off about Obama; my son is one of them. He and his friends are every bit clever enough to put together the video we have here. And, they would address these same issues: slow to get us out of wars, compromising with the right, etc.

Either way, the video sends a message and divisive among the Democrats, and it doesn't matter which side put it together.

I'll have to decline.

There seems to be three crowds here, one thinks he walks on water(I'm exaggerating, a little), the other seems to think he's a devil plant (I'm exaggerating, a little). The middle crowd doesn't like some of the things he's done, or not done. I'm that crowd. I've defended him, I've criticized him.

To the devil plant crowd, nobody will ever be pure enough, but that being said, one thing I'm not going to do is give up my right to criticize because of the purity crowd. Of course, the walk on water crowd always says there's a time and place, like somewhere in a free speech zone, far away.

I have no desire to have anyone walk in lockstep, and I certainly will not. However, my sensitivities have been put on edge with the endless "Obama sucks no matter what he does." No recognition at all for accomplishments or the need to prioritize or compromise. That is not you, but, as I said, I am a bit edgy.

Even if everything that's happened has pushed Obama into hard choices and some messed up answers, this is a better way to talk about how it feels to not get everything we all hoped for when he was elected.

When people are just all freaked out and cursing, it's hard to really take the message in at all.

but, for instance, because 56% of seniors did not vote for him, then he can safely ignore or cut benefits for all bad bad seniors.
So confusing.
I am hoping that being POTUS of all the people doesn't mean that if most of the people think seniors should be floated out to sea on whatever ice floes are remaining, he would do that.
Not much "right" or "wrong" around these days, looks like Animal Farm sometimes.

B. Wow! such amazing arguments. I haven't heard them since oh, 3 seconds ago, for the millionth time. Put down the 'progressive' talking point book.

C. I expect better of people I vote for. I don''t like it when people promise things and don't deliver, and I don't like it when Obama does it. Giving someone a pass just because they're on our side of the street is worse. Shows you're a hypocrite.

D. Just because they don't like some of the things Obama is doing doesn't mean they think McCain/Palin or Romney/Ryan would have been better. Leave the black and white thinking to the fundies, nKay?

Things are, "black and white . . ." on election day. We only get two real choices then. President Obama is by far the better of those limited choices which have been offered lately.
