A valuable lesson regarding propane grills--
Fortunately, Ms. Storm is recovering and working again.
Remember that propane is heavier than air and even heavier in cold weather. Even with the lid raised, it may not have dissipated and could create a pool of propane in the grill that will explode if exposed to a flame.
Careful, DUers! I know there are many of us who like to barbecue!

(37,648 posts)to actually use it. I didn't trust the propane. I'd heard about propane gas explosions.
So the grill still sits in my yard, unused. I need to give it to someone. And then get an old fashioned charcoal grill. That gives a better taste, anyway.

(2,672 posts)rib eye and t-bone, when I splurge, on a charcoal grill with mesquite charcoal and other meats on a propane grill. After reading this article, I'm switching to a charcoal grill all the time now. I is scared now of propane.

(34,384 posts)the siding off of their townhouse by placing the grill too close to the building. Idiot. Now we all have to suffer for one person's stupidity. I like the taste of charcoal grilled food so much more than gas--why bother? You might as well cook indoors using the broiler pan.
Oh well...
