PBS: The Debate on Abortion, Four Decades After Roe vs. Wade
Forty years ago, in the landmark case Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decided that abortion should be legal in the United States. Charmaine Yoest of Americans United for Life and Nancy Keenan of NARAL Pro-Choice America join Gwen Ifill to debate the state of abortion rights and activism today. ( transcript)
Yoest put out the usual BS talking points like "abortion industry", "protecting women", "look how many young people at the march for life", etc. Also she described "commonsense, parental consent, informed consent, clinic regulations" and "women who have survived abortion...and say that they regret their abortion."
Yoest also said, "...we had a debate over sex-selection abortion," but Ifill should have brought up that the debate was all because out
a phony Lila Rose "undercover" video.
I listened live to the pbs newshour today and thought Keenan came out with a more solid, concrete case.
