Papantonio: Is This The End of Gingrich?

Newt Gingrich has vowed to stay in the primary race until the Republican convention, but as Mike Papantonio and Ed Schultz discuss, the man is out of money, has no infrastructure, and is running out of time.

that was on DU earlier today of Chris Matthews talking about Gingrich. He didn't think Gingrich would stop; that he would do his best to ruin Romney. Romney apparently spent 16 million dollars in FL to trash Newt and Newt is not one to forgive and forget.

I think he'll stay in for a while longer if for no other reason than to damage Romney. Maybe he'll see the light and start acting like a good little Republican drone and behave himself in defeat but I doubt it.

Gingrich could take Dixie easily but he's unlikely to do well elsewhere. Romney is unlikely to do all that well in the southeast. What remains to be seen is whether or not Dixie falls into line and votes for Romney in the general. If they don't, then Nixon's southern strategy is finally dead and Gingrich's damaging Romney in the south will have done it.
