About the "Tears in Rain" monologue:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tears_in_rain_monologue

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

...swallowing a glass he *knows* has poison in it, in order to protect the woman he loves...who thinks he's a sap to do it. He does it anyway. That's always been one of my favorite scenes in the movies...
