A new weapon in the Savior's arsenal proves to be a giant hurdle, as fighting continues between Rick's forces and those of the Saviors.

(56,828 posts)is that both sides seem to have gotten the "unlimited ammo" hack going for them. What made the Saviors scarier in the comics was their numbers and the fact that neither side had a lot of bullets. 100 guys with swords, spears, axes, knives and pitchforks against 50 guys with similar arms is a lot different than 200 guys with assault rifles and 100s of bullets each against 100 guys with similar assault rifiles. With assault rifles, both sides blast away at each other from a distance...

(12,047 posts)It's just wrong- they just use guns and walkers as props of convenience now to stir up "drama" that isn't there - no one expects to lose any major characters in all this "war" shit - it's lame- the show really fails at anything other that small scene up close and personal drama - which the writers seem to have lost and forgotten - no wonder so many people have quit watching
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)memorable comic book characters like Tyreese and Abraham took a back seat to Daryl and his popularity, but none of them were as developed as they should have been. Chad Coleman is a good actor and Tyreese was a memorable character in the comics who was Rick's right hand man for a while, but he was a big teddy bear and and the always ill fated moral conscience on the show. Abraham became the right hand man after Tyreese and was a major character there

(4,267 posts)I kind of agree with you. It's a horrible show which I watch because....well it's on Sunday nights and I'm curious to see how it ends.
I like how the walkers walk very fast when convenient for the script. lol I didn't mind the tiger although I saw no purpose for his existence in the show at all. I think they just had to kill him because it cost too much $$. No way those walkers with brittle limbs could handle a 500lb tiger...but nice try.

(56,828 posts)and died at the same time he died in the comics. I just thought it was kind of silly overall, but Shiva made Ezekiel a memorable character from when he was first introduced in the comics.
the walkers have deteriorated over time on the show as well - season 1 and 2 walkers were a lot "fresher" than the walkers we've seen in recent seasons because the longer lasting walkers would lose bits and pieces over time. The walkers have usually been pretty slow, but I think Frank Darabont in season 1 had a few walkers that were fast, climbed fences and used simple tools (one had a rock, I think, and the first walker carried her teddy bear still...)

(12,047 posts)It's just another soap opera with walkers for props now, and trying to make us give a shit about all the new factions when we DON'T isn't working either. They forget what made the show special. Keep us guessing and TELL A GOOD STORY!
