I'm a complete novice, but the Women's Curling Olympic qualifyng is a great watch...

I am impressed and kind of fascinated.

It's winner take all for a spot on the national team - And these women are playing the shit outta this game for it.

so the concept is easy to grasp, but watching the aim, strategy and the adjustments the sweepers make - it's damn impressive.

and it all happens kind of in slow motion so it builds the suspense.

I'll watch every match I can. Never heard of it until they showed it one year a few Olympics ago but it's now what I look forward to the most.

The how to murder your husband shows my wife likes on the ID channel were repeats.

So we clicked over to the Olympic Trials, didn't even know which sports were going on and in 5 minutes we were hooked.

I'll definitely be watching during the Olympics.

Until the winter Olympics wise up and put basketball and volleyball on the slate (which is when the rest of the universe plays these sports) curling seems to be the most compelling competition.

I am not much of an Ice Dancing enthusiast and the X-game type events don't really interest me.

because my wife likes it. (although every once in while someone will do a back-flip or something and that's pretty cool) Actually though, I do enjoy the commentators for skating - Tara Lipinsky and Johnny Weir are fun.

I do like the old school Ski jumping but yeah, all those other X-Games things just seem "made-up". Well, I guess every sport is made-up but they are less traditional so it just doesn't do much for me and I doubt I'll live long enough for them to become traditional.
