Dill Pickle & Peanut Butter Sandwiches

Got a call from my ex this morning and she wanted me to come over later in the day for a roast beef and mashed potato dinner. We got to talking about food and she's going to take me shopping in a couple of days as I'm running low. She asked what I had on hand and I told her. She then asked if I had ever tried Dill Pickle & Peanut Butter sandwiches. I never heard of such a concoction but she said her sister loves them. So after we got done talking, I ventured out into the great unknown and made a couple of such sandwiches and ate them. I found them to be very good and made and ate two more.

They're in the refrigerated section and are really crunchy!

I used to buy the ones on the shelf and I agree with you, even if they say "crunchy," they're not!

Try Claussen!

I can't imagine ever eating one. I find them unbelievably disgusting. We all have foods like that and pickles are mine (along with canned tuna).

BTW, I saw on 'Jersey Shore' that Snooki not only loves pickles, but sits there and sucks the juice out of them. I already knew she's not my kind of person but that really takes the cake

Hi,
Used to eat toast, peanut butter, honey, and dill pickle slices. The richness of the peanut butter, the sweetness of the honey, then the tart of the pickles. Sounds very strange, but I liked them. I may have to try one again soon.

Peace

or PB and pickles, but not all together (and not toasted). Sounds interesting.

For a treat, my mom would mix the honey and PB together before spreading it on the bread. It actually tastes different than putting each on the bread separately.

Ah...memories...

except I add mayonnaise, just a little bit.

I'll have to try what hibbing suggested about toast and honey!

Yum yum.

I have a friend who adds mayo and lettuce to that.

and lettuce is the only way to eat them. I wonder how many who love these sandwiches are from the midwest and born in the 50's.
