Does your spouse or S/O finish sentences for you? And they're just guessing?

Miz t. does,
It's a tic she has.
One of her few failings.

I'll say "I stopped by the grocery store to pick up some mayonnaise and...
"They were out of Hellman's?"
"No, I got Hellman's. But I was on the aisle where the mayo is and..."
"You got the large one, right? It's the best deal, price wise."
"Yes I got the large jar, but..."
"They've upped the price?"
"...Are you through guessing what I'm trying to tell you? Or do you want some more guesses?"
"I'm sorry. What do you want to tell me?"

so... i would let him go on with what he was saying, leave a huge pause and say no, that is not what i was going to say. and then say what i was going to say.

he stopped. dont know when. kinda forgot about it. but he was in quite a habit. very irritating. no more, so thank you hubby

It really annoyed him, and I finally learned how to stop.

I tend to speak quickly, and he tends to be leisurely.

Things are better now.

I have learned to be patient!

She does it to friends too.

I handle it with humor.
I'll smile and say "Lemme know when you're through guessing and I'll tell you what happened.
And she is chagrined.

Marriage is always an interesting situation.

Me: Where is this place you want me to stop?

Her: It's on that street, you know.

Me: What street?

Her: You know. The one by that store.

Me: What store?

Her: (getting frustrated!) You know! The store where we went shopping that one time.

Me: (trying a different tactic) Which side of town is it on?

Her: The other side from that other place.

Me: Why don't you just stop there next time you have a chance?

"You know that actress that was in that movie?"

"Where we ate and there was cars parked out front, that place with the plants?"

The thing is, we are so connected sometimes, I do know.

Hey, Tony. Remember that place we were?
"The place with the thing?"
"Yeah, that place. The one with the you-know?"
"Yeah. I know the place."
"OK, meet me there in an hour."

Take THAT, FBI!

He constantly interrupts me. I wait like you do... then I just continue with what I was saying.

I have tried to tell him how annoying this is, but I never have a chance to ..... well, you know.
