Detectorists tv series - Three seasons on ACORN tv

LOVE IT! Love the premise of ordinary people wrapped up in a metal detecting hobby where they claim to be searching for historical significance out of ordinary metal objects that they find, but secretly want to find that one treasure that will change their lives. And all the while, the t.v. show develops the every day treasures around these sad sacks, in the people that make a difference in their lives.

The usual development of odd British characters is a huge plus.

Did you know that Rachel Stirling's real mom is Dame Diana Rigg? Who also plays her mother on the show!!

What a treat.

leaning against the foot of the bed. I don't know how I wasn't caught. Perhaps because my parents were already asleep. The show would air late on a school night. Maybe ten, felt like eleven.

Ruined my sleep patterns for life.
