I even scrounged around to find one of those flimsy little needle threaders, but heavens this is so easy!

I've always wondered why sewing needles were made to be to be next to impossible to to thread, unless the eye was 1/2 inch long and 1/16 inch wide. Like, maybe' a darning needle. That's shocking!

and will likely not work with smaller eyes and that didn't look like regular thread, more yarn like.

Just tried it with a needle from one of those mending kits you get in fancy hotel rooms.

Does not work.

Palm now sore.

When she was around 5 she was helping set the table. Instead of taking all the silverware and setting it at the table, she was grabbing one utensil at a time, walking to the table, setting it down and then repeating the process again and again. I suggested there may be an easier way to do that, explained how, and then asked her, "Do you have to everything the hard way?"

She gave me the perfect response. "Yes, I do," she said. "I'm a kid. That's what we do."

This needle threading reminds me of that.

They break easily though.

Full disclosure, my age: uhhh, getting up there. Threading a needle is getting next to impossible.

I'm blind in one eye. It isn't an issue most of the time, but there are times when I think I got it perfect only to find out that I ran the thread just past the needle, not through it.

Is it static cling from the friction?

I don't happen to have any needles or thread with me so I can't try it myself.
