The calm in the middle of the storm

Our winter storm warning has been extended until 4. At least there is a momentary lull for Flint, and what comes next doesn't appear to be ice. FINALLY. Earlier, everything was in the purple, mixed precipitation range.

It has been a stressful and tense two days. That there are only 48,000 Consumer's Energy customers without power is pretty amazing. Not sure what's going on with DTE customers because their web site appears to have crashed.

Now it looks like that's dissipated but we are expecting rain until Tuesday. This has been one incredibly stressful weekend, that's for sure! Starting Wednesday, Mother Nature will tease us, again, with warming temperatures. I'm afraid, though, that I've lost most of my daffodils, which breaks my heart.

My family is hunkered down and riding it out.

There's a reason I moved to the Mojave Desert.
