(15,805 posts)There are a lot of choices for ways to let your cat have some outdoor experience but still be in a safe environment. I have an inexpensive "playhouse" for my two cats, and they seem content just sitting in it and looking at the great outdoors.
Here a page link to Amazon, and no I'm not sleeping with Bezos... eek!

(2,166 posts)Hell even jump over the dog to get out. Whats worse is we have a stray that we took and theres no keeping her in, she just slides the slider open if Im out on the back and then the other one gets out. Hes the same color as the road and hes not Street smart (like the stray).

(15,805 posts)from a window or other opening and then connect to an enclosed play area for the the cats. They can also be arranged to go from one window to another, like those habitrails for hamsters. If you are handy and like DIY projects, you can custom make your own enclosed tunnels. Such arrangements don't have any outside doors, just the ones on the inside to block the opening when needed. The cats would be very secure.
Hope you find a good solution.

(20,585 posts)there are so many ways to go - I have a small deck that I had enclosed with hardware screen.
You can go to a farm supply store or website and see all kinds of enclosures that can be adapted.
Costco has a dog kennel that might work.
I would be afraid the cat would freak out and run in all directions with the invisible fence. They can also launch themselves over it from trees etc.

(62,444 posts)Getting the collar on my neck was the tough part, but since then my cat has been very pleased that I am pretty much confined to areas of the house where I can get the food and clean the litter. When the food runs out, the cat has learned to turn off the fence so that I can go out to get more.
