eating that? Name some food you forgot to enjoy? I'm looking for retro food ideas to feed my retro dad.

(7,700 posts)...I can't wait until the MD Crab source this year is good enough for my award-winning recipe. Not enough workers to pick them now because of Trump. Also, the Crabs are late because of climate change. If, you want to feel what's it's like for me, imagine drinking Crab Juice!
Edit: Proper Clip!

(118,651 posts)a can of crab. Never had fresh. That is something I should look into but being in central canada I am way away from anything fresh. Especially from Maryland. Though I did read the book Chesepeak by James A. Mitchener and he went into crabbing in that. I'll put that on my bucket list.

(118,651 posts)for) for the local grocery stores. We made about a 800 a day. That was for the city in Halifax. His dream was to make it to Costco. I suppose that is everyone's dream. There is a fresh food store like Whole Foods that sells prepared fresh food and no nitro cured meats. It is called Farm Boy but I don't know that it has frozen food. It has nothing you would buy in the center isles of the average grocery store. Nothing boxed. It is a pretty new and expanding across Ontario as it has hit a niche (fresh organic and non organic veggies, meat, fruit, bakery, prepared meals and prepared salads, house made juices and house made dressings). It has a meat section and dairy. I wish I could picture if there is frozen food. Anyway it is doing better than wholefoods. It is a much nicer shopping experience. It is expanding fast. Expensive but worth it. That is worth a call.

(118,651 posts)Prepared chicken nuggets and pizza. Crab cakes would fit in there perfectly. And it is really pricey but everyone knows that and is there for the quality.

(7,700 posts)Thanks for the tip. My little tip for great crab cakes: use crackers. Preferably Ritz!
