The dog died and the cat grieved. She started sleeping on the box with the dogs ashes in them. Then it got serious. She stopped grooming herself, didn't want to eat, never looked out the window....
Until we brought home Ares a rescue pitbull. The cat was immediately happier but Ares was sad because he came from a foster home with 8 other pits. So we went back for a buddy. Now we finally have that big happy family!
