Yes he readily accepted the little girl in pink to dance with him.
Yes the little girl in blue rudely pushed the other girl out of the way so he would dance with her.
But then after admonishing the girl in blue for her actions, he turned his back on the crying little girl.

The one that showed class was the little girl in pink. She didn't push back and calmly walked away.

The young man could have, after admonishing the girl in blue, danced with her.

IMHO
