A year ago I signed up for a digital subscription to The Washington Post. $39.
My subscription just auto renewed. $99.
I wrote to complain about the 253% hike, acknowledging that the original rate was probably a promotional rate, but, still, a 253% price hike was unexpected.
The response was as you would imagine.
Am I being stupid for complaining? Or should I just bite the bullet and pay the price? Of course, I could cancel, and I might do that. But I want to know what you think about bitching about it.

Of course, following the advice of the others who posted here, I could also have got a promo rate using one of my handful of email addresses. Thanks for that reminder. Brain freeze. I should have thought of that.
