Slyvia Plath's poetry, an index. Free and fun to use.

Kimberly Southwick-Thompson, now a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and I, now an English Professor Emeritus at the same institution, spent two summers writing a comprehensive index to the themes, motifs, and figures in Sylvia Plath's Collected Poems.

The index has recently been mounted on The University of Illinois' Modern American Poetry site. Here is the link:

It should prove useful for both the student and the scholar. Simple to use. (One peek says it all.)

Please let anyone know who may be interested, including English students who may write a Plath paper, or anyone reading her work who may wonder, for instance, what poems contain a discernible "Death Wish," for instance, or refer to "Mirrors or Replicas."

.....nothing of Sylvia's was ever FUN! She's the reason why Prozac was invented! Just my humble opinion.
