and it's the piece that made me want to learn how to play the piano. actually, it made me want to learn how to read music first, then learn how to actually play the piano.

i struggled with learning this piece for ages on an actual piano, but eventually bought a midi synthesizer where i could "record" a phrase and edit out any mistakes, and repeat the process. eventually i made what i thought was a "perfect" performance, and i unveiled it for my mom's 50th birthday.

her jaw hit the floor when i told her the story behind it.
