Today marks just 14 days left...

living in the very expensive Oakland county of Michigan. Moving up north of 40 to Iosco county and the beautiful little city of Hale, where my yearly taxes probably wouldn’t cover the cost of beer for the open house party.

Retirement will be grand, hiking, kayaking, fishing, sitting watching the stars in a dark sky unencumbered by the glow of city lights.

On another forum that I frequent, there's a fellow from the Detroit area who regularly posts real estate from upstate and some of the homes are so grand and magnificent, and they're selling for dirt cheap. I realize some of them are sort of "in the middle of nowhere," but if you've reached retirement age and you're still physically capable, it sure seems like an enticing option.

Hope you find many fulfilling days in Hale.

Nice little house, little over an acre. 13 minutes away from the state park, 10 minutes away from the AuSable river, 20 minutes away from Lake Huron.
All for the grand price of 36,500.

Thanks, True Dough

in the state park that is literally my backyard. My recipe for skeeters is a spray of Deep Woods Off, followed by a healthy dose of “I don’t give a shit”.

Thanks, shraby
