A mouse? Seriously?

We have 4 (THAT'S FOUR!!!!!) pure-bred American Rat Terriers in this house AND a cat.

When I went to take a shower, a mouse ran across the bathroom sink.

Not that I have any wish to get rid of any of our furr-babies, but THEY'RE ALL FIRED!!!!!!

The dogs assumed the cat would take care of it because that's what cats do.

Maybe it's time to have a family meeting.

They all claim they catch, kill, and deliver only outdoor mice. Indoors is my responsibility.

And of course a dead (I hope) bird. I quickly went to get a bag to pick it up, but when I got back it was gone.

The feather mess wasn't really as bad as the last time the felines pulled that stunt. I'm thankful that lizards seem to be out of season now.

The mom cat is a great hunter and has taught her three kittens well. I wish I could lend them to you.

The outcome. First it started with a bat this summer sure it was dead by then but we had to go thro all kinds of worry until after we found out it was rabies free. Then she brings in a rat live mind and I’ve never had a rat rare to have a mouse. Then bird feathers all around the dinning room with the innards laid out in some kind of feline ritual unknown to at least this human.
Then came more rat parts as I was trying to figure out we’re rats were all a sudden coming from my husband said he thought they were coming from the orchard they recently took out and more recently started moving dirt. Well they can just go back and stay there thank you very much yuck way worse than the mouse earlier wich by the way I am now convinced cat brought in and it did not wander in by its self as that would have been only second mouse in my living area in 18 years. Then recently another half eaten bird found its way in.
She doesn’t seem to understand those things stay OUT.
So she might Be a grand catcher you don’t want the clean up job.

Here's a story; Many years ago I worked in a machine shop and we had frequent customer that was always showing off his new toys or boasting proudly about them. He came in one day was not his usual happy bouncy self and one of my coworkers asked why. He said he just paid good money for a new hunting dog and had to turn around and pay the vet big bucks to cure the pup of a bad case of worms. I said it look like you got yourself more of a fishing dog. I got the look. I thought it was funny and still do.

Then my cat started "gifting" me with them. I guess this sounds insensitive, but I'm so glad they were dead. I wouldn't know what to do with a live, but injured mouse.
