Freddy Mercury was a beautiful, extremely talented soul.

We were lucky that he shared his art and talent with us. We are all little better off because of it. Thank you Freddy. May you rest in peace. Your art will live on.

3. You're most welcome, Trailrider1951...

...I could be wrong but looking at your avatar, I think you'd greatly appreciate this lesser-known Queen song that I posted the other day:

5. I did see the movie with my daughter and grandkids

They are all Queen fans. Didn't learn anything I hadn't already seen or read before but it is a great movie. If you get a chance go see it!!

6. I agree, overall it was a good movie...

...even though there are several parts that were "Hollywood-ized" and others that were just plain wrong, such as the movie portraying Freddie as telling his bandmates about his HIV status before the Live Aid concert. At any rate, Rami Malek did an outstanding job in his role and it's a must-see for all Queen fans...

9. I'm not a huge Queen fan, but I thought the movie was terrific.

I can understand why they changed some things for dramatic license. Real life doesn't flow in a way that will keep someone in their theater seat for two hours.

But the acting, cinematography, lighting, sound, and (of course) music were all freaking amazing.

I laughed. I cried. I kissed 40 bucks good-bye. And it was worth it.

18. Unfortunately, Mrs. Starsky is not a cheap date.

And when we got to the theater, we were hungry.

13. I want to see it eventually.

Freddie Mercury was definitely a one of kind talent. I wish I could have seen him in concert, but I was only 12 years old when he died. It is unfortunate that they didn't have the treatments for AIDS back then that they do today.

Figured we'd get there on opening weekend but it just never happened. So tonight we're making a point of catching it.

Man, if ever I wished I could have been somewhere...

15. very good movie, while not all that historically accurate and str8t washed

Malek amazing

Freddie was in a category almost all of his own, I dont know if anyone was better, maybe Michael Jackson but as to one person with humongous talent, Freddie the man

19. We went to the early show

I got chills during some of the concert scenes. True to form, my wife needed a tissue when Freddie's father finally embraced him. She cries at about half the movies we go to. She's a sentimental sort. I love her.

Great film, despite any historical inaccuracies. They were lost on me and would have been meaningless even if I knew what was deemed to be factually incorrect.
