(19,200 posts)I loved AbFab! Great show. The movie was pretty good too. Eddie "killed" Kate Moss. it was great to see the old gang back together again.

(19,200 posts)your cat was thinking "friend" when he spied him on you lawn. More along the lines of "dinner", if I'm not mistaken.

(8,201 posts)They're a wonderful breed. But they aren't very big, and that rabbit isn't safe in the yard: too vulnerable to predators.
Haggis for Breakfast
(6,831 posts)I looked it up and according to PetWorld, our gorgeous friend here is from Belgian breeders who mated a Netherland Dwarf bunny with a Swiss Fox bunny. I didn't realize the depth of bunny breeding. They are considered "domestic" so, you're right. He would NOT be safe outside. If he were mine, he'd never get off my lap.

(8,201 posts)I didn't realize there were any rabbits out there other than lionheads with that glorious hair. Thanks for teaching me something today!

(36,827 posts)He loves head and back rubs. He hops around the house, but only when we are watching him because although he never has theres always the danger of him munching on electrical cords. I think hes about 10 yrs old and weve had him since he was a pup.
Haggis for Breakfast
(6,831 posts)Do you keep him confined when you're not home or at night ?
I had a college friend who loved bunnies. She had them neutered/spayed, fed them the best stuff, took them to the vet every six months and had a basket for them to be in when she left the house. They loved quite long - 12 or more years for all but one. So cute. One always like to lay on our books whenever we studied because he knew he would get 10 minutes of hugs and cuddles. And that was a great study break ever.

(36,827 posts)I know of people who have, so it is possible. Some people also bunny protect all their electrical cords so they can roam freely around the house. We dont do that either. Most of the time he stays in his cage. We have a big cage for him and he loves it as hes always excited about going back in. He does make a fair bit of noise at all hours of the day and night and hes also kinda messy as he likes to throw his bedding material outside the cage. His nails need to be trimmed regularly and he needs brushing from time to time. Hes not really affectionate like a dog or cat, but he will remain still for head or back rubs.

(3,469 posts)I had a miniature lop-ear that I really miss. Been thinking o getting another bunny. I need one that will stay on the small side so this breed looks great. Do you know where to get one?
Major Nikon
(36,827 posts)We got ours from a neighbor lady that bred them and she has since moved.

(959 posts)My great aunt used to raise show rabbits of the polish breed. there are so many niche types, a lot of the breeds have thier own shows and associations.
I know because she was the treasurer of a Polish Breed association and I got roped into helping her one year stuffing ribbons into envelopes to mail to county fairs all the across the country.
They are cute rabbits tho, small and tiny little ears

(23,975 posts)I had a rabbit many years ago. I had trouble thinking up a name for him, and debated several different ones, none of which gave me that aha moment. Then, one day, I watched him scampering across the floor, and a name jumped out at me - Scamper.
