Rudolph shouldn’t lead Santa’s sleigh with his red nose because reindeer can’t see the colour – and nor can they see carrots left out for them, scientists say

Rudolph couldn't have led Santa's sleigh because reindeer are colourblind and would not be able to see the light from his crimson snout.

That's the finding of scientists who have revealed the Lapland dwelling creatures lack the colour-detecting eye cells that humans use to see shades of red.

They are also unable to see orange and green, meaning the animals might struggle to spot any carrots left out for them under the Christmas tree.

Everyone knows the value of Rudolph's nose was to provide light for low-altitude flying...

Really, was this the most critical scientific problem these "scientist" had to solve? And was this really the most news worthy article the reporter and newspaper had to publish? What next? the sky really isn't blue or 4 leaf clovers don't really bring you good luck, or bunny rabbits don't deliver Easter eggs?

Give me a freakin break.

He is holding the reins and has infrared vision to see in dark chimneys and houses. Other than Rudolph, all the other reindeer's views consist to the ass of the reindeer in front of them.

Male reindeer shed their antlers at the end of the mating season in early December, while females sport their thinner antlers throughout the winter.

At least that's what the scientific Busybodies are telling us these days:
