More and more online media outlets asking for subscriptions.

Many of my regular reads are going to have to go. The New Yorker was the most recent. Talking Points Memo, The Daily Beast, tvnewser ratings.

Anybody else notice this? I think it's a sign that Trump's days are numbered.

Either limit your reading or get ready to pay a high price to read them all.

But yes, getting so whenever anyone provides a link to an article, I can't read it unless I'm a subscriber. Same with FB links. I refuse to join FB so can't always see what's at the end of a link to FB.

But enterprises have to make money if they want to stay in business, and I guess if what they're publishing is important to you, you pay the price of a subscription, just like you would for a "Paper" newspaper, news magazine, celebrity magazine, etc. After all the New Yorker was not a free magazine before it went online.

most acquired many new subscribers. I believe there is a sense that he is in such danger legally that we may be entering a new phase of the nightmare. Mainly I think the connection is owing to timing. It's the only reason I can think of. Or it's due to being the end of the year.

They are too expensive. When I had a Vanity Fair subscription, it included both the hard copy and on-line access. Most on-line publications have advertisements, which I assume the publication gets a flat fee plus some type of payment based on the number of views, but I doubt that pays for all the salaries and overhead expenses to keep their publication going. With all the news /information media out there, it's become very competitive.
