I've been watching it but not really into it. Sometimes I think it has potential, then other times I think it's just dumb.
I can't wait for True Blood to start.

(20,176 posts)I can really relate to the characters. I've either been or dated most of those people living in Brooklyn.

(16,327 posts)and it has yet to "click" with me. I've actually come to actually hate the lead character/actress. Maybe it's a generational thing.
I do like "Veep" so far, though.
And I am on pins and needles until the new TB season starts!

(20,176 posts)except it's probably more of a location thing than a generational thing. NYC is filled with these young twenty-and-thirty-somethings who have no clue in life, no-one imparting them life-knowledge leading to them to rely on other clueless directionless *-somethings and an incredibly skewed ethos on work and relationships to feel their way through. I can connect to that because I lived it. Hannah is supposed to be a bit unlikable, she's the twit every(wo)man of young Manhattan except taken to a spoiled self-centered immature extreme.
OTOH, I really can't stand Veep. I find it inane and it's reinforcing once again why I can't stand any of the Seinfeld alums or Larry David. Couldn't stand Seinfeld either so .

(6,437 posts)I think Lena Dunham made a mistake in casting herself as the main character, because she is just not that good.
I'm also looking forward to TB, but I have to say GoT is the best HBO show on right now by a substantial margin.

I can't wait for True Blood either, recently watched the last few episodes of S4.
