(13,360 posts)I'm a Gen Xer and I'm jealous they have the tech to do that...
Though it was more fun back in the day when you had to have the right angle and throw hard enough, etc. Not only that but we'd usually wait until dark, sheesh!

(112,150 posts)was hoisting a garbage can up the halyard of the flagpole in the parking area up front. We always had a flagraising ceremony on Monday during homeroom and it rained that weekend. The principal went to the flagpole to lower the trash can and he was dunked with the nasty water. That's definitely low-tech compared to what they can accomplish now.

(4,935 posts)In high school a whole group of us band geeks would pick a few houses after the football games and TP them. We would all hit up the Alpha Beta, which was right next to the high school and basically buy out their stock of single-roll toilet paper....but only WHITE, never any colored or pattern ones (they stain)...then we hit the victims houses...sometimes it was hard to tell if there was an actual tree in the yard. We even TP'd one of the Senior's houses between the time they came home from Prom to change for the After-Prom party....so they came out of the house and had to bust through the TP'd porch to get to the car.
