... of all time.

This is from a man who says Rush is the greatest rock band.

Who also says the Alan Parsons Project is the second greatest band.

Alan Parsons, the man, was the audio engineer for Dark Side. To my ear, the Project's early albums sound more like Dark Side than other Floyd albums.

My sons love it as much as I always have. Great Gig in the Sky is on my “songs I want played at my funeral” list.

...they played the whole record and none of us had heard it before.

In the meantime, the current #1 Billboard artist is somebody I never heard of.

Funny how that works.

A couple neighbours had one cassette tape - Dark Side of the Moon.(We were on a kibbutz.) That's all we heard day after day. When they had to get up for 4am work, they'd play it to wake themselves. Nothing against them, they were good blokes.

Thirty years passed before I could hear the album again and enjoy it.
