He seems so pleased with himself ❤By Stephen Messenger
As more and more people opt for the convenience of having things delivered to their homes, package theft is sadly on the rise. But the perpetrator behind this particular case of "porch piracy" is much more charming than most.
Last week, Lori Metcalf Sanders had a box of homemade snacks dropped off in front of her house by a neighbor. However, by the time Sanders went to collect the package, only a greeting card placed along with it remained.
A review of Sanders' security camera confirmed her neighbor's kind delivery:

(16,377 posts)And I have been defending the possum, pointing out how great they are for the environment and human health. They carry no known diseases and eat thousands of ticks in their lifetimes. Except for foraging and the occasional package theft (as above, lol), there are no downsides to having possums around.
My sister lives in northern Florida on 40 acres of land and she actually volunteered to care for a "mess o' possum" babies from a rescue just so she could release them on her property when they were old enough. It was hard work: they had to be fed around the clock with this expensive milk substitute and then a disgusting cat food/milk concoction, eventually graduating to fruits and veggies, but she fell in love with them and now they are taking care of the ticks in return. She hopes they all raise their families on her land.
