(6,796 posts)why they never receive the prize. Maybe, if they were smaller and had terrier or poodle attached to their name. Wait: Goldendoodle. No, that didnt help.
P.S. I love looking at my hearts. Wish we could keep them longer.

(3,051 posts)With a group of older gentlemen, mainly Mescalero Apache. They all take their dogs to the shop. Its a distinctive breed about the size of a Doberman, little beefier, short hair, long tail, and golden. Clearly pure bred whatever it is, because they all look a lot alike. Friendly, but apparently good with horses and cattle.
Asked what breed it was. They looked at me like I was stupid and told me it was a yellow dog. I said I see it is yellow, but what breed is this. Hey said the breed was Yellow Dog.
Looked it up, and apparently its really a thing. Not an official registered breed, but a mix that is extreme common in the desert SW.
Most famous example being Old Yeller.

I couldnt believe that another wire-haired terrier won... and chosen by a judge who is a terrier man. Big surprise there!
