I think I understand. I'm a lacto-vegetarian, and I once went to a Waffle House - it being the only restaurant open after midnight in the town I was visiting - and I tried to order something without meat.
It was a bad idea.

I have come to the conclusion that Memphis Tennessee is Waffle House Central. I have driven across and around Memphis and I swear there is a Waffle House at every other exit.
Once I was driving a night run back home to Fort Worth from Kentucky and I was really hungry. Stopped at a brand new Waffle House, tanked up on coffee and devoured a huge breakfast. It was like 4 am. It was not too crowded but there were definitely some night people in the house.
I made it an hour before I had to stop for a nap. Fortunately Arkansas has some of the finest rest areas in the country, well lit with clean restrooms and large parking lots. All that food just did me in.
