(67,782 posts).....was able to do about 3/4 of the Sunday puzzle each week. Only ONCE was I able to do the entire Sunday puzzle.
That was back when Will Weng was the crossword editor.

(70,103 posts)my mom was fantastic at crosswords. i grew up doing the local paper one, which was mostly pop culture. mom got to do the sunday one. i used to do chgo trib one when i was younger.
havent done one in years.
didnt realize till mom was gone how smart she really was. my dad got the credit for the brains that got passed down. but mom had an amazing memory, and was raised in a doting family.

But I do the puzzle every day. Well, almost every day. They get pretty hard come Fri/Sat.
