Does anyone have the new Kindle Paperwhite?

The 8GB model is on sale for $90, which seems like a good deal. I have an older Fire tablet, which works fine, but it would be nice to have a reader with decent battery life and less of a glare.

The Oasis has a larger display, but is more expensive. The paperwhite size is fine for most people. These readers are significantly lighter than the Fire, and have much better battery life. The Fire has color, but you don't need that for most books. The new readers have sharper displays and higher contrast. The background is closer to white than to gray. I have an Oasis.

Go ahead and get the Paperwhite. You won't be sorry.

There is one big problem with Kindles: it is very easy to buy books on impulse, since you can have any book within minutes. Kindles let you walk around with several hundred books in your pocket, so you tend to do much more reading.
