I can't figure out the "hands-fingers" being used to hold the dog up. The ones on the left don't fit my understanding of anatomy unless it's a baseball glove or something. Not a big deal, of course.

and her right hand (reaching under/behind the dog, hence not visible) holds the 'left' side of the dog.

The person taking the pic is seated to her left, so she's twisted in that direction to put it in front of the photo-taker.
