What happens after you die? (Original Post) Floyd R. Turbo May 2019 OP
Well, Floyd, maybe it doesn't include one's consciousness. Glorfindel May 2019 #1

Looking forward to state in which I can teleport to places my angel-like self would like to go and visit invisibly and/or not so angel-like state to haunt. I read somewhere that I'm still breathing molecules that Leonardo DiVinci inhaled and exhaled. Weird, huh?

you're also breathing molecules that wafted from the window of a cheap hotel in Ames, Iowa, where a traveling salesman spent the evening cutting ripe ones.

I am coming to believe we "merge" with the Cosmos. No individual consciousness; but according to some scientific theories, the Cosmos itself is conscious, so it may be like the Eastern Religion viewpoint of "a drop of water dissolving in the ocean."

As one responder here said, energy is neither created nor destroyed. So I have to think that our energy continues in some form.

On a personal note, I'd be just as happy with oblivion. I've been unconscious before; no big deal.

personally, i think i may be immortal.

i mean, i was pretty sure of it when i was a teenager and decades later i'm still alive, so maybe i was right after all.

But I don't worry to much about what happens after I die. I'll find out in 40 or 50 maybe 60 years what happens to us.

maybe it'll be like getting sucked into a worm hole. When we get to another consciousness, it'll be so different, that a lot of things from our lives won't matter any more. Or at least I hope so. JIC, I'm planning to meet my husband by the moon. And in case of annihilation, we are all meeting by the moon
