Not my best day today. Stubbed my toe last night in the dark,

on my way from the bathroom 2am pee. Lost my balance and fell to the
wood stove getting a large, like wallet sized, hematoma on my calf.
Hurts like a MFer. I just got Jeannie out of the hospital for pulmonary
embolisms. She's laid up, I'm laid up. So I take a shower and think
I see the start of a small hernia. I've never had anything wrong with
me that stitches couldn't fix.
We looked at each this morning and laughed. We're a hot mess she said.

Stay in bed until moon is dark. Watch that hematoma.

Actually I consider myself a very lucky guy.
No money, no debts, no enemies.
Good kids, good Jeannie, good home and land.
Still relatively healthy for 68.
The moon is dark tomorrow night.
But I can't stay in bed.
