How has climate change affected your climate this year and where are

you? I'm in ottawa. We have had 3 tornados in the past year. We usually have none. The grass is yellow right now. It usually stays green. We have lime disease warnings like we've never had before. Winter used to kill the ticks that carry it. But not now. What have we done!!

But for the last 2 years in the summer the fires are so bad in Eastern Washington and north in BC, and South in northern California..... That we are surrounded in fires and the smoke becomes very thick..... Like you can see the ash on your car..... You can't see the space Needle or Mount Rainier.....

Also last year in the winter it snowed a lot...... Like we had a foot of snow at one point and we normally would get maybe an inch or two every couple years

It's been a hot couple weeks....

been drier/less humid than usual and we have had no measurable rain in my part of AZ so far. We have a warning about West Nile Virus. The only thing that grew in the garden was zuchini and squash. Bees are sparse. No hummingbirds. It's late in the summer for the prickly pear fruit but we got some fruit but not nearly the amount of past years. This has been a windier spring/summer, as well. It's definitely different, and not for the better.

The most obvious here is that spring/early summer rains are much more intense and frequent. I think we're already close to our yearly average rainfall. The last few years the winters have dragged on into late April, giving us a colder spring and hotter, more humid summers.

rainfall accumulation as per your Marshall and Mankato Weather Services.

There are whole areas of Yellow Medicine County and adjacent Border areas that will not see a crop put in the ground this year. Along the Buffalo Ridge the annual rainfall was surpassed a couple weeks ago with more than a foot of rain in less than a week.

wetter than normal also. It's definitely greener than normal for this late in the summer.

I do not think we have broken 100 yet and it is August already. Last summer was also milder than usual, and our winter as well.

In the 30 years we have lived here, our weather has cycled though. We'll have a couple of horridly hot and dry summers with really cold for us winters ( and ice/snow that shuts down the whole DFW Metroplex) followed by a couple or three years like this one. Usually it seems to tie in to the El Nino cycles.

of 100 degrees in May in both Wilmington and Fayetteville. We had days that tied the highs that hadn't been seen for 60 years in Raleigh when the temp reached mid 90's in May. It wasn't just one or two days, either. Here in Raleigh where I live, the temp was in the 90's for days in May, which is not typical until usually July or August. The average high temp in Raleigh in May is 80 degrees.

The last few years here have definitely been hotter earlier in the season and staying warmer later into the fall.

The winter was unusually bad, record low temperatures throughout the area both this year and last. And we have had an awful lot of very severe storms, two just this week, with the resulting power outages and flood warnings. As for ticks, they're a big problem here too. I'm in NE NY.
