Hi everybody,
I lost my Iphone 6 and need to purchase another phone. Does anybody have experience buying a refurbished iphone? Any advice on where I should buy it?
Thanks!

(44,124 posts)Generally your current carrier should have some iPhone refurbs.
The Apple store website has refurb iPhones as well
I have been hearing that Apple is dropping support for the 6, so you will want to look for a 7 or better.

(10,197 posts)Got them thru an insurance I had on my phone with my carrier. They sub out the insurance, dont remember the name but started with A. Problems with everyone till I gave up and bought a new phone. Id say it depends where you get it from, but I finally just gave up and bit the bullet for a new one.

(7,528 posts)They won't sell you a phone that doesn't work, and they usually offer Apple care and standard warranty for refurbs. Refurbs are often barely-used returns, or sometimes perfectly-functioning new units with a cosmetic flaw.
Perhaps if you're going through your phone carrier/store, ask if the refurb is directly from Apple?

(4,111 posts)for your responses! I should have mentioned that the reason I'm thinking of buying a refurbished phone is because money is very tight. Unfortunately even the Apple refurbished phones are $569 which is too darn high for me.

Best Buy has some refurbs in the $150 range -- be sure to get apple certified
