(34,384 posts)with turtles and know how they react when scared. If the kitten was terrified, he wouldn't have stuck around. I've lived with cats all my life and I know cat behavior. Give me a break. I don't do animal torture videos.

(115,691 posts)will hide in its shell with the "doors" shut. All turtles and tortoises will hide in their shells when they're scared. I don't know what was on the turtle's mind, but the kitten was play-attacking a strange creature in a defensive posture because he didn't know what it was. If he'd actually been frightened he'd have run away.

It was pulled out - and kitteh had its fur up.

Neither creature was traumatized by the interaction. Turtles deal with more nerve-racking experiences in the wild and the kitten wasn't likely to be frightened by a slow moving cobble stone with feet.
