Ours helped raise our 2 kittens, it was a marvel to watch his patience. If one of the kittens fell asleep on him, he would lie still for hours. I usually moved the kitty after awhile, to give him a break.

A friend of mine and I had rescued some kittens that needed to be bottle fed in the beginning. When they were getting old enough to wander there was one time she could not find a couple ( my friend is blind ) and her golden retriever picked them up gently and layed them in her lap. She could have found them herself but her dog was a mama to all creatures even though she never had her own babies.
