I use an Android tablet to record still pictures from my drone.
(X-Pack 1 drone)
The stills are recorded into the tablet, but while the video can be seen on the tablet, it won't record video.
I get a video file that has nothing in it.

(12,712 posts)All the comes to mind, (from experience) is:
Are you recording directly to the onboard memory or to an installed flash card? You should have a setting where you can check that.
The cards can and do fail after a certain number of read/writes and that might be preventing the recording, and it is similar to bad sectors on a hard drive.
The other thing to suggest is, can you download another camera app and try that to see if it works?

Are you trying to play the video you recorded on the drone on your tablet? Or are you talking about a video recorded with your app?
People have mentioned file type, but there is also something called a codec, (what is used for compression) and it is possible that you need the codec for that type if the drone is using it. You could check your drone manual or with the manufacturer. If so, then look up Android Codecs and their may be a package for you to install.
Not having the codec usually results in blank video.

(12,712 posts)I just remembered that the VLC player plays just about everything.

And there is a Klite codec pack you can get online, as well for android.
