From the U. of YouTube: Who knew, composer Leroy ANDERSON, a treasury of classic hits!

It started with a clip of a Jerry LEWIS impersonator David? WOLF doing the "air" typewriter to the tune of The Typewriter Song. So after having heard it here and there over a lifetime, I availed Google to see who composed it, and it turned out to be this fellow, and a Pandora's cornucopia of treasures (not afflictions) poured out. On this album there are around 24, way more than half of which are completely familiar and priceless, "Blue Tango" and "The Syncopated Clock" and "Fiddle Faddle" and not-countless others. He made a niche for himself of very short and tunefully spectacular pieces. Wow.

Tip for navigating YouTube: The slider can be slid forward to skip past a selection. In the album at hand, around the 45 minute mark it turns into "Irish Suite" (some re-workings of folk? classics) and followed by Christmas carols. Here, I'm preferring his own compositions.
