it's w the black beauty products.
i am allergic to perfume. for a while there you could get unscented soaps and shampoos, etc, but they seem much harder to come by these days.

Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap. Bronner's also has a citrus rinse for after shampooing. I use that occasionally. I too have problems with the scents they put in all the soaps, shampoos, and creams these days. Too much formaldehyde, toluene, etc. And they make a very nice hair conditioner. All good, light scents.

I wouldn't mind something very lightly herbal. Very.

And yes, face cream is a problem, too. My favorite as far as results are concerned, from L'Oreal, is heavily perfumed. Can't take it.

is not as strong as I would like it. The lime and Lemongrass fragrance is nice too. I got some of the sugar soap in it and use that. just go to DrBronner.com, and they have a baby unscented that might just be what you would want in the beginning. but the scents are pretty light.

aka the
no poo regimen... i did it for years, my daughter also recently...

your hair gets clean
enough eventually once you acclimate and
the natural oils take over...
i believe
most people use shampoo for the scent/cleansing combo
i buy generic crap, dilute it by 1/2... last longer and not as harsh

called Herbaliz out of Montgomery, Alabama. I specifically use the Reduce Hair Loss Shampoo and her vinegar rinse/conditioner.

See: https://herbaliz.com/

Shampoos (including unscented): https://herbaliz.com/item_23/Shampoo.htm

It's $12.50 for 8-oz. plus reasonable shipping. Customer service is great.

Note that her shampoos have an EWG SkinDeep Rating of 1, see:

Good luck!.......

uses DHS Clear Shampoo. It's unscented.

Before that she used Magick Botanicals Shampoo for a while until she developed allergies to it. It's also unscented and claims to be "for chemical and fragrance sensitive individuals."

And before that it was Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo which only worked for her a short time. It's scented but claims to be hypoallergenic. The fragrance is light and fresh smelling.

The scented ones are very mildly scented with essential oils. There are no chemical fragrances in them. The conditioners are nice also. They offer a sample kit so you can try several for not much money. They last a very long time, too.

Lightly scented, if at all, and has never triggered my fragrance allergies. It is designed for use on dyed hair (which I do not have) so it is mild. It does not strip all the oils out of my hair and leaves it with plenty of body.

A good rinse for hair is vinegar. No smell left and leaves the hair nice and shiney.

I used it for a long time when I was in school Then one day Mom noticed I had been using pickle juice she had been saving and didn't say anything. I wondered why I smell pickles.

So I'm not sure vinegar (or pickle juice ) would help. My hair is very fine and many shampoos and conditioners leave it heavy and lifeless. The Clarifying shampoo leaves it with plenty of bounce and curl - but I never do anything other than wash and let it dry naturally. Blow dryers make my hair brittle. Anything else just destroys it.
