3. One of my coworkers

put his up the day after Halloween. He was whistling Christmas carols all day. Dude is hardcore.

4. Neighbors a few houses down have their lights up -- and on at night -- already...

And because their house is a) much bigger than the houses between us and b) decorated (over-decorated) on all 4 sides we can see their premature over-lit monstrosity from our backyard as well.

C'mon people, let us get through Thanksgiving before you light this stuff up.

5. How odd

The spouse is decluttering and just took down a mock crimmey tree she had up for the past few years.

When I prematurely shared this post with her she volunteered she could retrieve it from the basement. Great, a moldy mock crimmey tree.

7. I noticed some houses that had Halloween lights have changed over to Christmas. I'm OK

with that, cause I like em, but back in day you didn’t do that until at least after Thanksgiving.

But, then, nowadays they have TV shows “Christmas in July.” Just leave em up year round, it’s a nice time of year except for the cold.

8. Given the state of our country...

I can’t really be upset that people are wanting a little holiday joy in their lives right now.

The sane ones know that something really bad could happen between now and Christmas. Nobody knows exactly what 45 would do to interrupt the proceedings, but it could be ugly. Might as well have some happiness now, while we still can.

I haven’t set up my tree yet, but I’m moving in that direction.
