When he was a kid, he was horrified to find out that others could smell his farts, even the silent ones.

The quick test for easier, more obvious object pronoun is to leave out the other person in the object.

"The fart was heard by Simon and I." You'd never say, "The fart was heard by I."

I'm not a grammar expert. But some mistakes are more obvious than others.

My late husband was deaf . We attended many deaf events such as deaf camping. I would be the only hearing person there. Sitting around a campfire and in the darkness I could hear random farting through the evening.

That happens to me when I am mixing between two languages.

I was just curious if anyone knew whether "and I " was normal in English signing

a single word for both i and me would be typical a type of abbreviating things.
dont speak it myself, but my kid does.

it amazes me how many people don't understand this at all. and this is a teacher.
