(6,945 posts)And I notice it's all crocheted. I's tougher to do in knitting (I do both, but that kind of accessory goes much faster and easier in crochet.)

(51,649 posts)They have more and more pet costumes every year and for every occasion. Since 40% of Americans own dogs alone, no wonder there is so money to be made in little outfits, etc. Throw in the fact that EVERYBODY has a camera on them 24/7 and are more than happy to share their pet's misery and you see why this is soooo popular. It isn't new though, and isn't just "gradpaws" contributing to this act. Everybody I knew dressed their dogs up when I was growing up 40 years ago, we all made the outfits/accessories ourselves back then.
