(22,479 posts)I embedded it. I copied the link. Someone posted another one on here earlier which is how I found this one....GIF but I am so addle minded lately that I can't remember what the title of the post was or even what it was about!!!!!
Oh wait; I just remembered it is about the cat that opens the door for a little kid. Maybe if I can find it I can ask the OP how they posted it here.

(33,643 posts)It'll bring it up in a viewer. There should be a set of links to the right. Choose the one that says something like 'direct link'. Think it's the 2nd one down. It'll have .jpg at the end, and DU needs a file extension at the end of the URL to know it needs to reach out to grab the image

Your cat-rat URL is this, but it ends in an .mp4 which DU software doesn't do anything with

If I replace the .mp4 with .gif or with .png, I get a still photo:

I would have been able to tell you what to do if it was a .png file, but since its an .mp4, my "trick" doesn't work.

You can play animated gifs on DU and imgur has a converter but theres a few steps you have to make in order to complete the conversion. Once the conversion is complete, copy the link and past into the Message text area in DU. You must change the extension at the end of the link to .gif
