Did you ever wish--just for a moment--that you had psychic abilities?

Like, I wish I could go into the house in Springfield Missouri where the three women were abducted and wish I could pick up something there. I don’t mean I really want to do that because I’m sure it would be very upsetting and scary if I could do it. But that is a case that really intrigues me.

The reality is probably really disturbing and frightening, even with ordinary psychic experiences. Being able to sense crime information would be horrific.

...after I saw Carrie. And since this was in the 70s and I was a kid I thought I could make it so if I tried hard enough.

It never worked out, of course.

I had that happen, or something like it.

I had listened to a radio program about a method of meditation which was unique in some way; whatever the way, I can't remember it. The originator of the method offered a sample at his web site, so I downloaded it and tried it. I'm assuming most people know that meditation facilitates psychic ability.

Right after that meditation exercise, I went to work and drove through a county park which has lakes and lots of trees; even a waterfall. I was behind some person driving slow and also erratically. Slow I can take--I always have something interesting to listen to. However, erratic is different because one has to be constantly watching. Who knows what this person is going to do? This driver was slow, sometimes driving partially in the other lane, turning on their interior lights, smoking or eating, or engaged in some type of activity that was anything but driving safely.

I said in my head, "I would like you to pull over right now and let me pass." That's exactly what this person did!

Further down the road there was another driver testing my patience and I said something similar. He, too, pulled over when I asked in my head.

I recall I wrote the originator of this technique about it. He published my comments at his website.

Decades ago, I learned Transcendental Meditation but was never disciplined enough to keep up with it. I do still remember how. Maybe I should try to get back to it. Maybe when I retire in about 18 months.

Is that you are automatically a suspect.

Now. the ability to actually CONTROL people's minds (without them knowing) and make them confess would be a different story.
