I've been with satellite since Echo, then Turner, then Dish. Been working up to cord cutting, last year went Roku, downgraded Dish to "Welcome Pack" with just my main things ( MSNBC,TBS, Comedy, no CNN). $30/mo. Really $32.
Surprise, today increase to $38.
Can get CNN on TuneIn Radio, but found out can get video with CNN app, screen Mirroring on tv.
Just looked for similar app for MSNBC (not home right now). Possible? If so am shitcanning Dish.

(70,695 posts)Because of SC's tip, have got MSNBC and CNN (others available) on the android, but haven't figured out how to do the Screen Mirroring thing.
Well, for our talking heads news things, can let them be on the phone, don't really need to see Big.
This still gives me the way to CordCut completely and save $500/year, pennies in Dish's pocket.
Last week was able to do the Screen Mirroring with the CNN *app* but not tonight. The android will get me through while I transition off Dish!1
