17. I guess I meant that in two ways:

1) is it legally permissible ? In some states, wild animals may not be taken for pets.

2) Will they tolerate your interference in their lives ? Porcupine have a prickly way of telling you to back off. One of our dogs came in the house last summer looking like he'd stuck his nose on the wrong side of a porcupine. An hour later, with a pair of tweezers, we had pulled most of those little darts out of his nose. But that little guy, "Teddy" seemed very calm. Plus they don't see all that well.
